The trek to the base camp of Annapurna consists of a duration of 14 days where the first day of yours shall be the arrival in the city Kathmandu and from the other day we shall prepare for the trek being equipped with all the details and tools we start our journey by taking a flight to Pokhara and trekking to Ulleri and we keep going through until we are surrounded by mountains from all of the 360-degree at the base of mischievous Mt. Annapurna.

The Annapurna region has been a well-liked spot for trekking in Nepal since the year of the 1960s. Although the great massif is pretty much wanted by the adventurers, it also has its gloomy sides where we should be prepared for the prevention of any kind of loss.

  • Difficulties of Annapurna Base Camp Trek

There are difficulties of climbing to the base camp of Annapurna which we should be aware of. The distance is almost of 115 kilometers on average and if some unfortunate conditions pop up in the regular trails, it might even take more distance than 115 kilometers which will be a bone-aching experience for the newcomers. The other greater difficulty of Annapurna Base Camp is the elevation of 4130 meters, which might create a scenario of Altitude sickness and many other high-altitude problems. The air gets thinner as the altitude increases. You should be more aware of the altitude sickness which might start showing up the symptoms after the height of 25000 meters is crossed. If any of the symptoms are seen get the required medication and rest as soon as possible or if the situation keeps getting worse retreat to the nearest help camp for professional help. And you should be well hydrated in the required amount, as the climate changes occur frequently you should be well equipped with drinkable water bottles.

As the trek is a trek in the mountains, the trails are not going to be smooth as you think, there are lots of ups and downs, twists and turns so be prepared for a rough walk if you aim to reach the Annapurna Base Camp. You should be prepared to keep everything mind like the number of carbohydrates you’ll need, the amount of rest, know your limits and focus on conserving energy as much as possible.

Even smoking cigarettes should be avoided while you’re on the trek as if will cause you difficulties in breathing
