Why Popular Treks

Nepal, a land of high snow clad mountains, raging rivers and lush forests. Eight of the fourteen highest mountains in the world, all over 8,000 meters are in Nepal. This is what brings thousands of mountaineers and trekkers to Nepal each year.

Since the 1960’s trekkers have been coming to Nepal to experience the breathtaking beautiful and dramatic scenery surrounding the high Himalaya. No matter what your age, whether you are 7 or 70, there is a trek for you. Of course the Annapurna Sanctuary and the Everest Base Camp treks are well known and extremely popular but if you want to get off the beaten track you can trek to remote and beautiful areas like the Tsum Valley or Nar Phu where you can experience the culture and heritage of the people who live there as well.

Treks in Nepal are graded from easy, eg Ghorepani/Poon Hill to challenging, such as Upper Dolpo or Kanchenjunga and can be tailored to suit the time frame you have, from a few days to a few weeks.

Most treks are known as “tea house treks” which means your accommodation and meals are catered for in villages along the way. More remote treks like Upper Dolpo are known as camping treks but even on these treks your camps and meals are catered for.

Yet this is not only reason to visit Nepal, the culture and heritage dates back for thousands of years and without even leaving Kathmandu you can experience this heritage. Visit the Durbar Square in Kathmandu or the neighboring cities of Patan or Bhaktapur and experience it firsthand. Visit Pashupatinath where Hindus pilgrims come from all over the subcontinent to the extensive complex of temples beside the Bagmati River, or the Boudhanth Stupa which is a mecca for Buddhist pilgrims.

We serve hygienic food in tea house and good accommodation of twin sharing beds. You don’t get twin beds in high altitude you have to share with 3 or 5 trekkers.

Our welcoming staffs are ready to take you trekking in the high Himalaya but they are only too willing for you to experience the sights and sounds of Kathmandu and the surrounding valley as well.
